We made these Paper Diya Lamps for Diwali. I was planning on placing them on the table like a center piece on the day of festival like this.
Here is how we made these paper diya lamps:
- I cut some half circles out of copy paper and let Putti color/ paint them however she liked it.
- I also let her paint one whole page yellow. Could use yellow construction paper too.
- Then I cut the painted yellow paper into little tear shapes.
- Glued each tear shape onto the top of half circles.
- Added small red/orange flame on the yellow tear shapes.
- Our paper diya lamps were ready!
Putti insisted we make a wreath too.

Kiran,
haudu khushi aagutte:)
Malathi,
Thanks for ur appreciation! Though i love food, i dont enjoy cooking much, but after having moved to this place where Indian restuarants are bad, i had no choice :)
And crafts, i enjoy doing these.. but always look for very simple ones which can involve putti too.
Cheers
Roopa
