Ganesha Festival 2010 !!

Today was Ganesha Festival. As every year we had made the idol out of air dry clay!
 This is the rangoli I made.

Ganesha Festival 2009!!!

It is our third year of making ourselves a Ganesha Idol out of clay. The last two years ganesha photos can be seen here.  Here are some of the photos from today's festival.

Our Little Gowri on Ganesha Festival !!!

Today was Ganesh Chaturthi and here is a look at the Pooja place including the rangoli I made.

Putti loved being dressed up in a gorgeous ghaghra that my mother had sent for her from India. Surprisingly, she did not want to pull things from the pooja place, instead she was more interested in playing with friends who visited us.

This is the second year that we made the ganesha idol out of Air Dry Clay.

And here is Putti joining hands with her dad to immerse the idol in water (called visarjane) at the end of the day after the final pooja is performed.
