2nd BDay Photos..

Ever since we got an aquarium to our home 3mnths ago, Putti has been in love with fishes. And you all know when you saw her invites, its a Fish theme birthday for her this time. But, all I found in party stores were 'Finding Nemo' movie based supplies. But, I did not want those and it was a challenge to find these from the internet.
The party Deco had to order many of these online.

After finding all the decorations, the hunt for customised cake started. Living in a small city, it was hard. None of the stores here do a fish shape and I did not want just those plastic toppings on the cake. Finally went ahead to try this lady Kathy who was recommended by many at our local moms forum. But was very apprehensive until we finally saw the cake, it was just what I had in mind. And it tasted great too:))

Being a weekday, kept the cooking to bare minimum and decided to go for a Pizza party. Made some fish shaped cookies (my first try with decorated cookies). Also made some fish shaped spicy crackers, noodles, spring roll, etc...

Putti made this lovely fish card with her handprints. She would have loved to make a card for all the kids who attended her party, but I was lazy, so scanned it and made photocards of it as thank you cards.

This isn't just a Fish,

as anyone can see.

I made it with my hand,

which is part of me.

It comes with lots of love,

Cannot believe Putti is already two years. When I look back, I feel the time flew by though it has paced in its own speed. Feel like holding her and saying 'Slow down Putti, dont grow up so fast'.
I have loved and cherished every second I have spent with her ever since December 2007 and 9months before that too. Thank her whole heartedly for making me a mother, teaching me patience and lots of other things...
That is small poem I wrote for her in Kannada.
