Today was Varamahalakshmi Festival. Lakshmi Pooja is observed by married women in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and other parts of South India. Goddess Lakshmi – the goddess of and prosperity is worshipped on the day.
