Spring has sprung..

Spring has definetly sprung into putti's art/mind. In the past she has drawn/painted a flower, a tree or a butterfly too lately. But never made them all together in one picture. But all through this week she has made lots n lots of spring pictures with grass, trees, colorful flowers, butterflies. Dont know if they are doing similar activities at her preschool. (She goes to preschool 2 half days). She is making similar spring pictures with crayons, markers, paint, chalk... Sharing a couple of her spring pictures today.
After she saw me making this blow paint picture.
She wanted to try making it too, but I guess she was tired of blowing that day(see the straw is still there) so she just asked for brush and made this.
Later on she painted some with flowers...

 These are with crayons...

This is on her chalk board.

I had read a lot about Alex creamy crayons and bought them recently. I gave them to putti yesterday and guess what she made, yes a spring picture again :-) These crayons are so soft, lucious and bright. But the tips are not pointed are broad, so putti found it difficult to draw with. But once i showed her to hold it at angle (slanted), she got the idea!! I really love the golden sun...

The Melissa & Doug Rainbow Color Stamp Pad is a new addition to our art supply. And she is loving it (more about it in next post). Love this finger print garden... She is looking into Ed Emberley's fingerprint book for ideas. Love the little blue bird she has made here:)

Halloween spiders and ghosts

Another simple Halloween deco..

  1. First trace your child's foot on a white paper. Do not trace the fingers.
  2. Cut the traced foot outline and add eyes and mouth to your lil' ghosts.
  3. Next for the spiders, fold a piece of black paper in half and trace your child's hand on it.
  4. Cut the traced hands except for the thumb.
  5. Add eyes and mouth to your spiders.
  6. Then place them all on Clear Con-tact paper and stick it to the window to display!

Tree

The first painting that Putti made was the handprints card for Father's Day. After that painting hands was a favorite for a long time. This was one of such paintings and calls it a Tree (First of her many trees).
Here are some of the Trees that me and Putti have painted together. In most cases I have painted the stems for her to add leaves using Crayola Paint and various brushes.

Putti says Thank you:))

Putti made this lovely fish card with her handprints. She would have loved to make a card for all the kids who attended her party, but I was lazy, so scanned it and made photocards of it as thank you cards.

This isn't just a Fish,
as anyone can see.
I made it with my hand,
which is part of me.
It comes with lots of love,
especially to say,
Thanks for joining me
On my 2nd Birthday !!

Happy thanksgiving:)

Some of the Thanksgiving crafts we did..

Mom and Dad And all the folks
Who sit around the table,
All give thanks to the Lord above
For the fact that we are able
To have the food and shelter
We all need to survive,
And have the love of family
That makes it good to be alive.

Playing with colors!

Putti is always a daddy's girl, they have a mutual admiration for each other. I at times would raise my voice when she doesnt eat her food or is grumpy. But her dad has umpteen amount of patience and has never been mad with her at all. And she made a beautiful card for her most favorite person on 'Father's Day' !! The card will be revealed here after dad gets to see it, shhhh dont tell him its a ssssurprise!!!
Some of the photos of her colorful moments...
