Play Dough and Beads!

Play dough is one of Putti's favorite thing to play with. It gets played with very often in our house. The Playdough pledge is a collaborative play dough playdate organised by NurturestoreThe Imagination Tree and Sun Hats and Wellie Boots. I have to admit I didn't think I'd "take the pledge", as We have been busy with my brother's family visiting us. Putti and her cousin did play with play dough and sticks, but I was busy in the kitchen, so no photos of them. But after seeing all of the wonderful ideas being shared, I couldn't resist and HAD to post ours:)
I used Nurturestore's easy no cook playdough recipe which never fails and then added a spoonful of 'Vicks Vaporub' as Putti has a bit of a cough and cold at the moment. This is one great advantage of homemade play dough. Nurturestore has an A-Z list playdough flavours that you should check out. Putti did request for glitter and then she grabbed her box of beads and was ready to play!
So, she rolled the playdough and cut out some shapes off it. Then began decorating them by pushing the colorful beads into the playdough shapes in whatever way she loved.
She made some stars, some alphabets and others..
More play dough shapes decorated with beads.
Some under the water animals decked up with lovely beads.
A lovely family all dressed up with beads.
These beaded play dough can be made into Easter Eggs, Christmas Ornaments or Fridge magnets! I took the Playdough Pledge, will you join us?

Great idea! We love to use beads but it takes my 2 and 4 year old a long time to made a design with the trays. This is a perfect solution!
