The Joy of Shredded Paper

The other day I got a package in the mail. When I opened it, I was greeted with a ton of lovely pink shredded paper. As always Putti was more interested in the packing material- shredded paper in today's case and the box than what came inside it.
She dumped the box full of shredded paper on the floor and but busy kicking it all over the room.
And within seconds the room transformed into this happy play scene. She then sat down and started collecting the paper to toss it up in the air.
My little girl loved tossing the paper in the air and on herself! You can see the laughter on her face. It was so fun, that she chose to keep playing rather than watching afternoon1hr television(the only time she gets it).
She then brought out some of her toys and began playing 'Hide and Seek'.
And she did try to make a paper snow angel.
Yes, this activity does make a mess, but it is easy to clean up. All you have to do is sweep a little and vacuum the last bits. That is just little work for hours of FUN !!
You could try to contain the mess by putting the shredded paper inside a kids pool or a big box. Or could even spread a table cloth on something on floor that way it is contained to some extent.
