Spin and Draw Spirals!!

Using markers on our new favorite toy Melissa and Doug Swirl n Spin Art Putti made beautiful and colorful Spirals.  It was great fun to draw and wait for the spinner to stop to see our results!

When I got the spin art machine, I first wanted to try something different with it instead of just dropping paint like most others have done. So, we tried markers!! Its very simple, just put the paper on the center of ur spin machine, place a marker on the paper and give the machine a spin...
It was tricky initially for putti, first because she would press the marker hard making it difficult to spin and second it was challenging for her to hold marker in left hand nad spin the machine in right hand...
But with couple of tries, she got the hang of it very well..
And loved making these colorful spirals....
Pretty soon she mastered the art of just gliding the marker on the spinning paper
 to create pretty circles !!
Then she tried crayons too... but since she was not pressing hard the circle did not appear bright enough ....
She went back to try many more colored markers...
 How cool are these !!
Then she cut all the circles, folded them in center, glued 3 circles together to form a globe, punched hole and threaded to make a garland.
 Love it !!

Ooh I remember doing swirl art as a child. Can't wait for mine to be old enough to have a go. It is so pretty and fascinating. Just need to improve motor skills first!
