Paper tube flowers!!

These colorful flowers makes me smile each time I look at them and what a fun way to reuse those empty toilet paper tubes!
This was inspired by the flowers made by 'No time for flash cards'. They had used markers, Putti chose to paint ours.
To make these flowers, we used toilet paper tubes, some paint, pieces of tissue paper and scissors to cut. I made some pencil marks/vertical lines on the tube and putti cut them using the marks as a guide.
For a few of them we made cuts along both edges of the tube. And then simply fold the cuts back to see the flower!

Now the fun part — paint!!

Allow to dry and Fill the center with balled tissue paper scraps.
Put it on walls and admire your fabulous recycled artwork!
  •  You could poke a green pipecleaner through it for a stem and put them all in a vase too.
  • You could cut the edges to be pointy to give shape to the petals.
  • You can make these with paper towel tubes to make big sunflowers:)
