Blow Paint Faces

Blow painting is something that putti has been asking for every other day. We have made trees before here and here. Also have done the same as part of our holi celebrations. Today again she wanted to do it and first made a a couple of these random blow art.
Putti pointed out and said 'look amma it looks like hair'.....Ta-Da I got a new crazy idea. Why not try making a face. So first we made this, where I painted a face and then added droplets of paint over the head and blew it with a straw to make hair.
And encouraged by how nice it looked, we went on to make more of these. Its very easy, just decide the outline of the face that you want to make.Place a drop of paint and blow it with the help of a straw to create hairs and other features...
And here is how the face looks!

I really loved the whole process and wanted to try something else and i made this!! I think we can make flowers too..

Crazy Hair Day by Barney Saltzberg is a greta story about classmate friendship, being 'the odd-one-out' and   enduring teasing. A little boy Stanley goes to school all ready for Crazy Hair Day, using rubber bands, styling gel and colored Halloween hair spray. But when he arrives at school, he learns that Crazy Hair Day is NEXT Friday. Today is School Picture Day. Mortified, Stanley hides out in the bathroom. When his buddy finally coaxes him out, Stanley learns his class has devised a way to make him feel part of the class photo.

This is a good idea. We've used blow painting to make fireworks pictures but never faces. I love the hair!

I love when you find something that inspires a good idea like this!!

Cathy,
Fireworks would be great too.. should keep in mind for 4th July.

MY daughter would love to do the craft. We had drawn tree stems using blow painting!

Yes, we love them too... Maybe we can make cool monsters for halloween :)

That is so fun!!! How cute!

Thanks for sharing this at last week's For the Kids Friday Link Party! This week's party is in full swing. I'd love to have you stop by and join in on the fun!
